Liddell sponsor Hastings Hotels Towel Origami Programme

Having worked with Hastings Hotels, Northern Ireland’s leading hotel group, for almost 20 years Liddell were delighted to be associated with the group’s Towel Origami programme which ran at the group’s 5 star Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle. The initiative was launched by Moira Gibson, Executive Housekeeper at the hotel, who invited staff members to ignite their creative side by folding towels into various shapes and sizes. Over 14 members of staff participated, demonstrating tremendous creativity where they showcased Baskets, Teddy Bears and Alligators to name a few. The top three, as chosen by Marc Wynne EsD of Liddell and Moira Gibson, were:

1st Place – Laura Murray – Teddy bear

Liddell sponsored the event by providing gift vouchers from a local supermarket for the winners. Speaking at the event, Moira Gibson expressed delight at the creative flair of her hotel staff and thanked Liddell for their continued support and involvement at the event.  She said: “We’ve worked with Marc and the Liddell team for many years now and they’ve always been very efficient. They’ve also been very responsive to helping us with any unusual requests that we’ve had and the towel origami programme was no exception. We hope this initiative takes off and that we see this develop into a therapeutic pastime for all accommodation providers.”
