Vision Support Services Celebrate Liddell 150th With Trip On Orient Express

To celebrate Liddell’s 150th anniversary, the global textile giant Vision Support Services hosted a birthday party with a difference; aboard the vintage Belmond British Pullman.

Guests were invited to join Liddell’s company representatives for a trip around the Kent countryside whilst being wined and dined throughout the day, with Laurent-Perrier champagne, complimentary wine and a five-course meal on offer.

Founded in Donaghcloney, Ireland on the banks of the River Lagan in 1866, the Liddell brand has an impressive heritage and client base, providing luxury linens to the world’s most recognisable names including the RMS Titanic in 1912, the Burj Al Arab hotel and The Ritz.

Managing Director of Vision, Laurie Thomas, said: “It is essential that Vision celebrates and commemorates our heritage-rich product brands. We are honoured to have core product ranges that are so steeped in history and it is important for us to share this with the people who use our products day in, day out and the customers who continue to buy from our Liddell range.”

The guests were treated to the fine dining on offer on the Belmond British Pullman, part of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express group, and then later were given gift bags containing the Liddell history book, the Titanic replica linen along with some luxury toiletries to enjoy.

Afterwards, the party was invited to the Grosvenor Hotel’s Réunion Bar to sample a cocktail created exclusively for the occasion; a ‘Quiet Luxury’.

Vision has been honouring the brand as part of its year-long celebrations. Earlier this year, they undertook a huge research project in conjunction with an Irish historian to delve into Liddell’s colourful past and have replicated the very linen used on the RMS Titanic which will be made available to buy in the next few months.
